My route is located in Los Gatos and Campbell.
By contract with Pepperidge Farm, I have exclusive rights to deliver Pepperidge Farm products to all the stores in this territory.
As a route owner, I am an independent distributor and not a Pepperidge Farm employee.
Basically, I own my own business.
My only responsibility is to adequately service all eight (8) of the larger grocery stores, so-called "chain stores", in my territory.
My territory consists of four (4) Safeways, two (2) Nob Hills, one (1) Lucky and one (1) Lunardi's.
It is my option to deliver to any other stores in the territory, like CVSs, 7-Elevens, and independents.
I have chosen to deliver to 2 CVSs only.
I make up my own schedule.
I deliver Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, starting at 6 am each day and finishing between 11 am and 2 pm.
I run my route in about 26 hours per week.
Income is 100% commission based.
Pepperidge Farm pays 20 percent commission on my store deliveries.
Pay is received weekly with no taxes, social security, etc.

I make "Estimated Tax" payments during the tax year.
My route averages $7,600 in weekly sales, which pays $1,520 pay per week on average, or $79,000 for the year.
My yearly operating costs are about $13,000.
The route sale includes my delivery truck (a 14-foot Utilimaster box truck) and all equipment necessary to process deliveries (tablet, printer, chargers, etc.
).
Prices for Pepperidge Farm routes are typically a factor of 40 times the weekly sales, give or take, but negotiable.
I am asking a factor of 39x which is $296,000.
Routes can be financed through a Pepperidge Farm 10-year loan or by securing your own financing.
