*Job Summary*
The After School Extended Care Aide will supervise students while they are in the Extended Care program and support the after school program instructors with the supervision of the students in the classroom.
The hourly range starts at $20.

* Responsible for checking students into Extended Care/After School Program.
* Assist/supervise students during homework time in the classroom.
* Lead indoor/outdoor activities, i.

crafts, organized game.
* Playground supervision to insure safety of all students.
* Works with other staff members to form a positive, supportive team atmosphere.
*Personal Qualifications*
* Have a proven evidence of adequate preparation, background and ability required by the position.
* Be committed to implement and enforce policies and follow prescribed procedures.
* Have the skill to make and effectively communicate timely decisions.
* Have the ability to foster creativity and be responsible for creative ideas.
*Professional Qualifications*
* Experience working with children preferred.
*Knowledge and Skills*
* Excellent communication skills with students and their parents
* Ability to work with young children including patient, calm personal style.
* Excellent role model.

* Must be able to work at a computer and use other office equipment such as fax, copier.
* No heavy lifting is required or necessary.
* Must be able to stand for periods up to one hour.
*Working Conditions*
* Work is performed in a school environment and outdoors during a regular 15 (approximate) hour work week.
* During Summer Day Camp, this position will travel on field trips.
