Junior After School Dance Teacher

*Job description* We provide after-school dance classes for Grades K-3 all around the San Francisco Bay Area in elementary schools.
Currently searching for instructors to work two or more days per week (between the hours of 1 p.
m.
and 5 p.
m.
) from Monday to Friday during the school year.
Previous dance experience is required.
Covid vaccination proof is a must.
Compensation is at a flat rate (depending on experience) for after-school programs.
This is a part-time position with a *maximum of 3-8 hours per week.
* *After-School Dance Instructor Responsibilities:* * Manage a class of 8 - 16 students (ages 5-10).
* Teach the different forms of dance to elementary school kids.
* Attend a two-day training/shadowing session to learn more about the program.
* Transport equipment if needed to and from class.
Set up the equipment.
* Take attendance and sign in and sign out students for class.
* Interact with parents and with school office staff when needed.
* Provide feedback for each student by the end of the session.
* Click a few pictures each session of kids in action.
*Requirements:* * Must be 19+ years old upon application.
* Must enjoy working with kids and professionally managing a class.
* Must be flexible, reliable, punctual, professional, and has an enthusiastic approach.
* Must have good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Must carry a resilient, positive attitude.
* Must be able to work independently and within a small team.
* Must have own reliable transportation throughout the East and South Bay and Peninsula.
* Willing to do a live scan background check before working.
*Locations:* * We provide after-school dance programs in multiple public and private elementary schools located throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
We make every effort to only assign schools that are within what you determine to be a reasonable commuting distance.
* Currently, programs are located in Los Altos, Fremont, and Palo Alto.
_*Candidates must be readily available and living in the San Francisco Bay Area.
