Cristo Rey San José Jesuit High School is hiring for Summer Bridge 2024 teachers.
CRSJ’s summer
bridge program is designed to facilitate the transition to high school and support high school success to
incoming 9th graders by providing students with the academic skills, socio-emotional counseling services,
and practical day to day resources needed to succeed in a catholic high school college preparatory
environment.
All incoming 9th graders are required to participate in the Summer Bridge program before
being fully admitted to Cristo Rey San José.
This program occurs in the summer “bridge” period between
middle school and high school.
The daily program includes a morning message on an integral component
of school culture, a morning Activities period for community-building, faith sharing, and study skill
development; there are then three main learning blocks: Math, ELA, and CWSP.
These courses are where
students develop the study skills / CWSP skills, persistence, and work ethic, which will carry them into
their freshmen year both in the classroom and in the workplace
