We are looking for partime assist teacher who love to play with children!
Hour: 8:30am - 12:30pm, M-F
Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing educational and behavioral strategies for children with autism and special needs.
- Support students in their daily activities, including academic lessons, social interactions, and self-help skills.
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children, ensuring their well-being and promoting positive behavior.
- Assist in the preparation and implementation of developmentally appropriate curriculum activities.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, behavior incidents, and communication with parents or guardians.
- Assist with the supervision of children during outdoor playtime, meals, and rest periods.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages learning and growth.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in early childhood education or related field preferred.
- Experience working with children with autism or special needs is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies for supporting children with special needs.
- Familiarity with preschool curriculum development and age-appropriate teaching methods.
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with parents, teachers, and other staff members.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
- Ability to pass a background check.
