Preschool / PreK Teacher
Saint Simon Parish Preschool is looking for a full-time position, (ideal hours 9am - 5:30pm, but 7:30am - 4pm is also a possibility), Pre-Kindergarten/Preschool Teacher for the 2024 / 2025 school year.
Qualified applicants are able to:
-follow the mission and vision of Saint Simon Parish School
-plan and develop overall curriculum with fellow Pre-Kindergarten/Preschool teachers
-demonstrate teaching and supervision techniques
-communicate effectively with parents
-prepare teaching materials (i.
e.
paints, play dough, paper, etc).
-supervise children and attempt to meet the needs of each child
-be aware of and comply with all personnel policies and licensing regulations the school adopts
-participate in professional and spiritual growth activities.
The qualifications for this teacher position are:
1.
Twelve (12) semester units in Early Childhood Education, to include Childhood Growth and Development; Child, Family, Community; Curriculum.
2.
At least 18 years of age.
3.
Enthusiastic, loving, and nurturing personality
4.
Ability to work well independently and in team settings
5.
First-Aid/CPR certified (willing to get within 30 days) current live-scan, criminal record clearance, and health clearance (TB test)
