Job Summary: Performs independent living skills training for adult consumers with developmental disabilities.
Specific Duties Include:
· Provide in-home/community-based services and training for the consumer by following an Individual Service Plan.
· Locate and instruct on community resources.
· Complete all hours assigned.
· Maintain accurate records and submit all reports as needed.
Work Hours:
The Service Instructor position is extremely flexible and perfect for some-one in college or some-one that needs additional income to supplement a current job.
A Service Instructor can create their own work schedule as hours are correlated between the consumer and Service Instructor’s availability.

Requirements:
· High School Diploma
· Passion to make a positive impact in someone’s life.
· English speaking.
Applicants with bilingual speech (Spanish, Vietnamese, Chinese, etc.
) are a plus.
· Service Instructors must show use of creativity in following the Service Plan provided by the Executive Director/Service Manager.
· Service consumers in the Mountain View, Palo Alto, Los Altos, Hollister and the surrounding Santa Clara County communities.
· Reliable transportation, current auto insurance and cell phone.
· Background Check performed
Working Locations:
Working in consumer’s homes, consumer’s occupational location, social settings, grocery stores, mall, banks, etc.
