At Club Sport, we have a 71,000 sq foot fitness facility with studios, workout spaces, full-service spa, on-site childcare, 2 pools, hot tub, locker rooms and so much more.
We are looking for a swim instructor for our aquatics department.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Group Ex Instructor who will teach fun, effective, and safe exercise classes to our Club members and guests.
Reporting directly to the Group Exercise Manager, the Group Ex Instructor will adhere to our Club's class formats and guidelines.
The highly energetic candidate will help members attain and maintain their fitness goals through aerobic exercise.
In addition, the Group Ex Instructor will promote participation in their own class as well as other instructors and other Club Sport activities, events, and programs promotion
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Teach all assigned classes on a consistent and regular basis
Arrive at least 10 minutes early for class to prepare; stay after class to interact with members
Be available to substitute teach whenever possible
Strive to maintain and increase your class size
Teach to make students feel successful, and educate members on proper exercise techniques
Make your students' safety and enjoyment your number one priority
Convey warmth and genuine interest to the students: make eye contact, smile, use students' names, personalize the workout, even in a large class
Utilize the group class setting to promote the group exercise department as well as upcoming club events and programs
Commit to the position as a business professional
Know and follow all club and group exercise department policies and guidelines
Operate studio stereo equipment properly, with music at sound levels that are appropriate to class type and intensity, but also safe for students and not disruptive to the adjacent studio (where applicable)
Ensure all equipment and props are properly used during class and properly put away / stored after class
Achieve certification as a Group Exercise Instructor; keep your certification (+ CPR) current and participate in continuing education in your profession
Other responsibilities as assigned by Group Exercise Director or Fitness Director
