Founded in 2023 by security technology experts appalled by the devastating rise in school shootings across the United States, CATS2 is a small, forward-thinking start-up non-profit foundation with a mission to make learning environments safer for children.
*Position Overview: *
We are seeking a dynamic outreach coordinator with a background in education or educational support roles to supplement our team to partner with local private and charter schools for the evaluation and testing of our first K-12 school technology.
The ideal candidate will have an extensive background working in K-12 institutions either as a teacher or school resource officer in the Bay Area.
Additionally, they must be an active member in the education community, with access to a broad network of school personnel in the private and charter school sector.
This consulting or part-time role is a unique opportunity to contribute to a vital cause.
*Key Responsibilities: *
▪ Establish and maintain relationships with principals, teachers, and school resource officers initially in local private and charter schools, followed by public schools.
▪ Serve as a liaison between our organization and the education community.
▪ Coordinate feedback workshops with school personnel to test school security software prior to launch.
▪ Collaborate with the testing team.
▪ Report regularly on outreach progress and effectiveness.
▪ Work closely with the leadership team to align outreach efforts with organizational goals and needs.
*Qualifications: *
▪ Experience working in education, preferably as a senior management, teacher, or school resource officer.
▪ Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
