** Our weekly rehearsals are in the South Bay on Mondays, 6:00pm-9:00pm in Campbell.
**
We are an experienced band that have been play'n and gig'n together for a few years.
We are guitar, drums, alto/tenor, tenor/bari.
Notice something missing? Yup, you on bass!
We are looking for someone who is primarily a jazz player (i.
e.
you know your way around a fake book and playing standards), can improvise, but play other styles too.
You can read charts, have pro gear, and no substance issues.
Upright or electric.
Both preferred.
We rehearse here: https://www.

We like to play highly arranged jazz/groove base tunes; select standards from the Real Books, but lean towards arrangements of our generation’s “standards” (songs from the 80's, 90's and beyond).
We all have "day jobs" so we aren't looking for a hired gun.
We are looking for someone who is into our thing and wants to join us for the love of making great music.
While we appreciate most musical genres, we tend to avoid: thrash, punk, shred metal, disco, country, polkas, elevator music, rap, “hip-hop”, Top 40, “Classic Rock”, Taylor Swift, musical theatre, opera, dubstep, and Kenny G.
Basically if we like the original and can arrange it in our own jazzy kinda way, we’ll try it.
Here’s tunes that inspire us:
