Jazz Drummers Needed For Jam - Saturday (san jose downtown)

We have open drum slots for beginner and advanced combos for our 1/27/24 Jam.
Several of our scheduled drummers can't make the jam.
This month's theme is "Jazz Beyond 3 & 4: A Time Traveller's Odyssey.
" Essentially, we will be exploring odd meter rhythms.

Jam Description: - This jam has been going on for 19 months.
It's typically held on the last Saturday of the month.
- Between 18 - 24 players attend - Most are Intermediate and Semi-Pro players - The jam is organized into 4 assigned combos.
Combos typically have 6-7 players Combos are arranged by skill level - - Combo 1 is designed to support musicians coming up the jazz learning curve.
(Have some experience playing in Jazz Combos - Proficient on their instrument, coming up the curve on soloing) - - Combo 2 - 3 are for intermediate players - - Combo 4 is for advanced players Our Winter Season Jams are held at Musik Ink Studios in downtown San Jose from 1 to 6:00 PM.
- - Combos start on the hour and play for 50 minutes.
There is a 10-minute set up / tear down time between combos - - There is plenty of parking.
- - There is a $15.
00 Jam fee to cover the studio rental fee (I'll be glad to waive the fee) Here's what people like about this Jam - It's well organized and maximizes playing time - - Players are assigned to combos typically three weeks in advance.
Players propose and vote on tunes ahead of time.
- - Combo leaders are assigned in advance and put together a set list at least two weeks before the jam - - This gives people a chance to practice the tunes before the jam - We are building a jazz community - - Family and friends are welcome.
