Role Summary As we continue to embrace the adoption of AI in our operations, product development and products and services, we are seeking a talented and motivated individual to join as the Director of AI Programs for the Legal & Global Affairs (LGA) organization.
You will be responsible for delivering program level requirements meeting the defined success criteria of the LGA organization and our business partners, including Splunk’s Product & Technology organization.
This role has responsibility for the initiation, planning, execution, and closure of strategic, large-scale, cross-functional LGA AI projects that have significant impact across the Splunk organization.
This position will report to the Vice President of Innovation (Legal) and support cross functional initiatives.
Personal Characteristics and Skills Success in this role requires proven organizational and program management skills including the ability to drive deliverables and outcomes not only within the LGA organization but also with organizations outside of the LGA organization.
The role requires a strong work ethic, a high degree of accountability and a consistent record of leading cross-functional projects and managing high-profile compliance programs.
The ability to influence business partners at all levels and effect change across the organization is essential.

What you'll get to do Drive the execution of key AI-related initiatives within the LGA organization that support the adoption of AI across Splunk, including: Embedding Splunk’s AI Trustworthy Principles into Splunk’s operations Managing LGA workstreams related to AI in product development, AI in other operational activities and AI integration into our products Managing AI regulatory compliance program as we navigate the emerging and evolving development of AI regulations globally, including the development of recordkeeping processes and the creation of customer-facing AI materials Managing work streams associated with public policy initiatives, including Splunk’s positioning and thought leadership on AI Collaborating with the Chief Technology Office organization to develop the agenda for and run the regular meetings of the cross-functional AI Committee, which is responsible for AI oversight at Splunk Must-have Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university MBA/MA/JD or Paralegal certification a plus 15+ years of general work experience with Compliance Program Management focus, including 6+ years in a program or project leadership role Experience in AI and the ability to understand related technology Engineering background or experience working in software development a plus Process-oriented thinking and demonstrated experience creating and implementing large-scale processes (including familiarity with common internal business tools in the tech industry (JIRA, Salesforce, Confluence, Google forms, SmartSheets, etc.
) and systems with focus on repeatability and scalability Extensive experience managing very complex, high-visibility programs Excels at operationalizing abstract concepts Experience counseling senior executives Familiarity with privacy and IP legal and regulatory matters Strong experience in the software industry Knowledge of, and keeps current on, AI industry news (bonus if interested and keeps abreast of public policy considerations and legal and regulatory movements) Nice-to-have Qualifications We’ve taken special care to separate the must-have qualifications from the nice-to-haves.

Note: Base Pay Range SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro, and New York City Metro Area Base Pay Range: $190,400.
00 - 261,800.
00 per year California (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), Washington DC Metro, and Massachusetts Base Pay Range: $172,800.
00 - 237,600.
00 per year All other cities and states excluding California, Washington, Massachusetts, New York City Metro Area and Washington DC Metro Area.
Base Pay Range: $156,800.
00 - 215,600.
00 per year Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles.
We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location.
Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate.
In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
