The team is looking for a talented, driven, and highly organized professional to help support a wide range of litigation, investigations, and technical projects.
This integral role will focus on driving matter organization across the team—including overseeing a case management system, data entry and report generation, team management, working with attorneys to support all aspects of litigation and internal investigations, including subpoena responses, eDiscovery (including legal holds, collection and processing of data, productions to outside counsel), and vendor coordination.
This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to support multiple tasks and individuals.
The ideal candidate must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality, organization, attention to detail, and keen judgment for prioritization and execution in a fast-paced environment.
This position will be based out of Applied Materials’ Santa Clara Headquarters.
Major Areas of Responsibility
Organize, manage, and update case management system and case materials
Provide litigation and internal project support to the Global Litigation & Investigations team, including coordination between external and internal partners and administrative projects
Prepare letters, memos, reports, and presentation materials
Set up meetings, video conferences, and conference calls on/off-site as needed
Attend meetings and takes notes, records action items, and prepare summaries with actions to key stakeholders, with additional follow-up where needed
Execute special projects, research, and data analysis tasks
Manage data collection and data entry; run report and ensure data accuracy
Provide support and assistance for department events
Perform other legal and operational tasks as required
Desired Qualifications
5+ years of paralegal, project management, or similar experience
High degree of organization and attention to detail
Ability to exercise sound judgment
Experience working independently
Experience in fast-pace and fluid environment with multiple competing priorities
Experience with MS Office and SharePoint applications
Experience with PowerPoint and Excel
Experience working in a team environment

Bonus Qualifications
IP law or litigation experience, either at a law firm or in-house legal department

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
