AMD together we advance_ Responsibilities: THE ROLE: The Business Planning Manager will play a key role in our revenue forecasting and business management efforts for the Adaptive and Embedded Compute Group (AECG) business unit.
As a critical member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating and aligning various revenue forecasts and providing analytics to support revenue.
THE PERSON: The ideal candidate will possess a breadth of abilities and skills along with experience in revenue management and forecasting processes.
You have a good understanding of revenue and business management processes, and are comfortable working with and influencing change to processes and systems.
You have experience working cross-functionally where you can use your collaborative skills to achieve company goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Support the management of short term and mid range revenue forecasts Consolidation and reporting of various forecasts, and alignment of sell through and sell in revenue Analyze historical data, product trends, and market / customer insights to ensure forecasts that support the company’s goals Proactively track business results to communicate progress toward revenue and other financial objectives Partner closely with Operations, Finance, Business Planning, and Demand Planning teams Revenue reporting and analysis, including, but not limited to, revenue and cost, inventory, market, product, volume & ASPs, actuals vs.
plan, etc.
Provide forecast performance metrics and drive process improvements Support Sales & Operations Planning processes (S&OP) Development of reporting and analytics, leveraging various tools where appropriate (Tableau, PowerBI, Excel, etc.
) in order to provide process improvements for business intelligence, speed, and accuracy Act as an SME and provide requirements, testing and support of any new or updated revenue or forecast related infrastructure Additional duties may include supporting other business planning projects, as required PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Prior experience in business planning, operations planning, financial reporting & analysis, or Sales & Marketing Operations High-tech industry experience is preferred, and an understanding of semiconductor business is highly desirable Strong analytical & problem-solving skills, coupled with solid communication, teamwork, and business acumen competencies Strong working knowledge of quote-to-cash processes Advanced proficiency in Excel a must; PowerBI or other BI tools is desirable Hands-on experience managing and analyzing large volumes of data efficiently, financial modeling techniques are highly desirable Detailed knowledge around FE/BE and collateral needed for a successful handoff Proven history of innovation and flexibility building SOCs that can suit multiple parallel developments ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is required (Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Supply Chain); MBA is an advantage LOCATION: San Jose, CA #LI-DW1 #HYBRID Qualifications: At AMD, your base pay is one part of your total rewards package.
Your base pay will depend on where your skills, qualifications, experience, and location fit into the hiring range for the position.
