Responsibilities:
THE ROLE:
In this high-profile role, you will be the overall post silicon execution lead for our AECG ASIC product development from initial customer engagement through mass production.
As the Post Silicon Lead, you will provide cross functional leadership for scoping of the effort, engineering and production ramp to ensure schedule, cost and quality objectives are met to fulfill the Engineering, Business and Customer requirements.
THE PERSON:
While this is indeed a technical role, it’s also a strategic role – you will be empowered to drive methodology enhancements to continue AMD’s trajectory toward higher levels of capability and quality.
It’s also a global leadership role where you will draw on your prior track record of leading high-performing product and test engineering teams.
This role will require a wide breadth to span power/performance attainment, product engineering & quality.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead product and test engineering scoping efforts during initial customer acquisition phase of the project
Matrix management of product and test engineering functions
Responsible to AECG ASIC Engineering and Business leadership and report out regularly on plan, status, critical decisions and customer issues.
Accountable for delivering products aligned to specification across various design and development teams.
Make final PPA (Power, Performance, Area) bounding box recommendations and drive execution to ensure attainment.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Proven number of years of relevant working experience in new product development from a product/test engineering and/or program management discipline
Experience in a leadership role as a driving multi-site and multi-disciplined SOC engineering programs
Strong understanding of the general silicon engineering process (preferably ASIC), from concept to tape-out to production required.
Ability to develop a post silicon NPI plan, structure and execute complex analysis, draw insights, and communicate summary findings/recommendations to senior management and customers.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and debug skills
Ability to network, build relationships, and drive effective decision-making across multiple functions and levels within the organization.
Highly organized, able to prioritize, and juggle multiple work streams to tight deadlines.
Exceptional executive and client management verbal and written communication and program management skills
Outstanding people management skills to lead, motivate, and guide world class engineers.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
BS or master’s degree in in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.

Qualifications:
At AMD, your base pay is one part of your total rewards package.
Your base pay will depend on where your skills, qualifications, experience, and location fit into the hiring range for the position.
