Responsibilities:
Sr Manager and Chief of Staff, AI and Cloud Business Development for DC GPU
THE ROLE:
The Chief of Staff to the head of Business Development serves as a strategic advisor and force multiplier, working closely with the head of Business Development to drive key initiatives and business priorities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work closely with the head of AI and Cloud Business Development to understand key goals, strategies, and vision for the business development organization.
Serve as a thought partner in developing plans and approaches.
Communicate business development priorities and initiatives cross-functionally to key groups like engineering, product, marketing, and external partners.
Ensure alignment on priorities and commitment to delivering on BD goals.
Manage communication among the broader business development team and collate customer feedback, insights, and requests.
Synthesize findings to develop customer segment and engagement strategies.
Lead business forecasting efforts by assessing potential opportunities by customer segment, market trends, and competitive dynamics.
Outline likelihood of success and resource needs for sales opportunities.
Map opportunity pipeline to various routes to market like OEM partners and CSPs.
Track progress of business development campaigns, deals, and account plans.
Highlight dependencies or risks requiring executive visibility.
Offer solutions to remove roadblocks.
Represent the AI business development team both internally and externally at critical meetings and events.
Serve as a proxy and voice to relay critical information between parties.
Manage special projects on behalf of the head of BD, overseeing cross-functional working groups and driving projects to completion.
PERFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
10+ years experience in a strategy or business role, experience working in business development preferred.
Strong communication, influential leadership, and project management skills
Comfortable working cross-functionally across engineering, product management, sales, marketing and other groups.
Entrepreneurial self-starter able to operate effectively in ambiguous situations.
Analytical – can assess seemingly complex challenges and solutions with myriad facts and data points and can identify those that are the most essential to the issue at hand.
Flexible – can self-prioritize and adjust based on changing business demands.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
Degree/Major: Undergraduate or Master’s degree in Engineering, Marketing, Communication and/or related field required.

Qualifications:
At AMD, your base pay is one part of your total rewards package.
Your base pay will depend on where your skills, qualifications, experience, and location fit into the hiring range for the position.
You may be eligible for incentives based upon your role such as either an annual bonus or sales incentive.
