*Position Overview*
The primary responsibility of this role is to provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced will call section, while also managing the section efficiently and operating a forklift to move and organize materials in the warehouse.
This role will also involve receiving and processing incoming materials, picking and filing orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, all while ensuring general cleanliness and safety in the warehouse.
*Responsibilities*
* Providing exceptional one-on-one customer service to customers within the Will Call section
* Grow and maintain sales in the Will Call section
* Enter and process sales orders and credit memos
* Direct interaction with customers face to face and on the phone
* Assisting in unloading and loading of panels and lumber with the customer
* Managing a fast paced will call section
* Must work in a safe manner according to all safety and other company policies
* Verifying counts and identifying products to be stocked
* Tagging and stocking materials in warehouse
* Tallying lumber
* Identifying and tagging products
* Maintaining a clean work area
* Packaging and staging pulled orders
* Organize product in the warehouse
* Driving forklift, this includes dismounting and re-entering forklift multiple times throughout the day
* Requires both bulk handling as well as “piece pulls” – will require direct handling of lumber items
*Qualifications*
* 3-5 years experience in customer service or sales
* Sales driven
* Excellent customer service skills
* Forklift experience is required
* High school diploma
* Self-starter, able to work without constant direct supervision
* High attention to detail
* Good organizational and time management skills
* Basic computer skills
* Good math skills and ability to use a tape measure
* English verbal and written communication skills are required
* Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
* Sense of urgency and ability to work in a fast paced environment
* Positive, proactive and energetic attitude-demonstrated team player characteristics as verified by references
* Reliable and trustworthy
*Preferred Qualifications*
* Experience working in industrial or building products sales is considered an asset
* Forklift certification
* Bilingual
