Business development is at the forefront of the sales process.
The team of business development representatives work as individual contributors and will be led by a BDR Manager.
The BDR team serves the crucial functions of outbound demand generation to prospective accounts, thereby generating pipeline.
This position will serve the manage the BDR team and be responsible for hitting overall team goals.
The BDR Manager will also assist in business development strategies on social media, with video, at events, and via traditional methods.
Responsibilities
Driving demand through the team’s efforts, resulting in new logo wins for ZL Tech.
In this role, your overarching objective is to train, guide and coach your team to identify, and initiate conversations with, upper management in the fortune 1000 and Global 2K.
In addition to managing the team, you will be responsible for overseeing sales pipeline growth.
In this role, you should expect these responsibilities to be part of your day-to-day schedule:
Lead a team of target-carrying entry level business development representatives (BDRs) ensuring they meet personal and team weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual goal
Provide guidance and instruction on a day-to-day basis to ensure team members understand and execute their responsibilities
Hold weekly one-on-one meetings with team members to evaluate progress and discuss professional development
Oversee all aspects of sales pipeline growth and forecast potential blockers
Empower team members to get the right things done
Foster a culture of inclusivity and collaboration
Identify opportunities for improvement across sales operations and make recommendations to executive leadership for streamlining processes
Participate in company sponsored industry events
Quantitative Performance Expectations
Create sales engagements, meetings, and qualified leads and opportunities with prospective clients, towards predetermined goals.
Work in alignment with field sales team to progress qualified opportunities
Deliver new logo revenue to meet goals
Requirements
3-5 years of experience in sales or business development in a B2B environment
1 to 2 Years of Experience in a team lead or management role of remote workers
BS or BA in business, sales, marketing, communications or relevant field of study
Exceptional verbal and written communication/presentation skills
Ability to track and forecast sales pipeline and revenue growth
Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Experience using CRM software to track sales activities
Spirited Attitude – wear many hats and contribute as a team player
Excellent creative and critical thinking skills – we must be preemptive
