POSITION SUMMARY: Process Engineer II will play key role in day-to-day production support of existing back end assembly manufacturing as well as improving manufacturing capabilities in expanding MEMS-based inkjet printhead assembly operation.
Focus in two main areas: 1) drive general improvement to manufacturing processes to improve yield, output, cost and safety and 2) manage the automation of current and new manufacturing process, using internal and external resources.
Knowledge: A seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of area of specialization; resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways.
This job is fully qualified, career-oriented, journey-level position.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Support and maintain current 24/7 production, including troubleshooting equipment and process issues in the Back End Assembly Work closely with development engineering and manufacturing to drive process improvements for Assembly Operations for improvement in yield, output, cost, and safety.
Monitor and analyze manufacturing data for process quality control, engineering investigations, or equipment troubleshooting Manage the automation of current and new manufacturing processes, including outsource management of tooling and fixture design, development and build, and coordination with internal resources on tooling and fixture design and development.
Set technical direction with respect to toolset and process technology.
Employ an extensive technical knowledge of more than one area of engineering (design, controls, systems, project) in complex process characterization, optimization, scale-up or manufacturing support projects.
Participate with manufacturing, process development, facilities, quality assurance in developing requirements and recommendations for system modifications.
Coordinate portions of the work of consultants and engineering firms on development of standard design documents.
Develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets within area of expertise.
Drive use of problem-solving methodologies (e.
g.
, FMEA, SPC, Control Plans, QFD and Design of Experiments) across manufacturing community (DMAIC/Lean MFG) Facilitate problem solving and brainstorming activities and participates in and supports cross-functional teams.
