Incoming Quality Assurance Inspector

*General Description of the Position’s Function and Purpose* * Responsible for inspection of components or sub-assemblies manufactured by Yamaichi Electronics subcontractors to ensure compliance to drawing specifications.
*Specific Duties and Responsibilities* * Perform dimensional and visual inspection of machined components or sub-assemblies utilized in the production of Yamaichi Electronics Test Solutions Burn-in and Test products.
* Provide judgment and document inspection results.
* Adhere to YEU Incoming Quality Assurance standards and policies.
* Support product assembly, as required by Supervisor.
* Maintain care and proper usage of measuring equipment used in QA inspection process.
* Devote full time, ability, attention, energy and skills in performing all duties as assigned and delegated by the Company.
* Other duties as assigned by Upper Management.
*Knowledge/Skills Required for the Job* * Product knowledge, comprehension of drawing specifications.
* Basic knowledge of metrology tools and equipment operation ( some experience is preferred) * Good dexterity to handle very minute parts * Judgment and critical thinking to analyze complex situations.
*Responsibility* * Supervisory Controls: Direct Supervision * Written Guidelines: Written guidelines exist for some cases.
*Difficulty* * Complexity: Performs routine to moderately complex duties * Scope and Effect: Scope and effect are above-average.
Familiarity of metrology equipment operation is key to increasing work efficiency.
*Environment* * Physical Requirements: Sedentary to light.
* Physical Requirements: Excellent vision with or without the aid of corrective lenses.
* Work Environment: This employee works in a heated and air-conditioned office environment majority of the time.
*Qualifications - Minimum Required* * Education: High School Diploma, or equivalent education * Experience: Must have a minimum of 3 years QA/QC experience * Other: Reporting and communication skill *Additional Desirable Qualifications* * Good interpersonal skills to better communicate/interface with Yamaichi personnel from all Departments.
